ABOUT ME

When life changes faster than you can keep up, or relationships begin to feel disconnected and confusing, it can be hard to know what direction to take next. You may find yourself struggling to manage emotions, coping with loss, or repeating patterns that don’t serve you anymore.

My goal is to help you slow things down, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and all in the context of your own unique background or culture. You can find clarity in the areas that feel most uncertain.

I work with individuals navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, parenting stress, grief and loss, and emotional regulation. I also have advanced and specialized experience supporting clients who identify as autistic or neurodivergent, as well as those facing phobias, fears, self-esteem concerns, and family conflict. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and begin to rebuild from a place of understanding, self-trust, and confidence.

My therapeutic approach draws on some of the best brain-based modalities available for mental health treatment today. These tools allow us to work with both the mind and body to support deep, lasting change. With so many therapeutic options available, I’ll take the time to guide you toward what best fits your goals so that your plan feels personalized, collaborative, and grounded, but also has momentum.

EXPERIENCE

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in several community-based and front-line settings, including police communications, education, elder abuse prevention, domestic violence, and community mental health. These experiences shaped my understanding of human resilience and the many forms that healing can take. I hold a Master of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization from the University of Calgary, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Victoria.

No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to do it alone. Therapy can be a space to re-discover yourself, strengthen relationships, and begin to feel safe in your own life again.

MORE THAN JUST MY WORK . . .

Enjoying life in a small town in rural Alberta, I love to connect with others, get outside, and be grounded in nature as often as possible. Visiting with friends and family, going to local concerts and plays and travelling as much as possible really keeps me feeling human! Being an introvert, I love to read, meditate, stargaze, garden and watch the clouds morph on a summer day, but I also enjoy the odd night of karaoke which allows me to push through my shyness – it usually ends up being a lot more fun than embarrassing, too!

My favourite quotes is:

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
― Leo Buscaglia
